CCC Discusses Chess – Posts of Interest – Many Nations!

Cooperative Chess Coalition ( CCC ), as many now know, started out in Feb./ 11 as a Canadian chess reform organization. Its members were all Canadian. It operated a somewhat active Facebook chess discussion group, “ CCC – Chess Posts of Interest”. Then in Feb./12 it restructured itself into an international promoter of chess debate, focusing more on the FB discussion board, and seeking to operate the most interesting and active chess discussion group on Facebook. There, it sought to foster discussion of chess reform at all levels. CCC was fortunate to then have join a Ghanaian, Abbey Alo, and an American, Joe Fatula, to join Canadian members Ken Kurkowski and Bob Armstrong. CCC had become international. Our 16 “ supporters “ as a result, though, are still all Canadian: Steve Karpik, Pino Verde, Alex Ferreira, Greg Beal, David Broughton, Erwin Casareno , Fred McKim, Chris Field, Haqi al Ganabi, Michael Perez , Hassan Pishdad, Sam Sharpe, Victor Itkin, Will Rutherdale, Hazel Smith, and Vlad Drkulec. We are actively soliciting “ supporters “ from other countries. If you think you’d like to become a core CCC “ member “ or “ supporter “, e-mail me for introductory material ( cooperativechesscoalition@gmail.com )..Also, our chess discussion group “ Likes “ only numbered around 100, and were still almost all Canadian as well. So we started inviting those “ Likes “ from other countries to invite in their “ friends “, and to tell the world about this new chess discussion board. Suddenly our numbers grew ( we are now at 527 “ Likes “ – our all-time high is 528! ), and they came from all parts of the planet. CCC had made a leap forward on implementing its FB chess discussion board.

Note:When Abbey and Joe joined CCC as " members ", there were then two other Canadian members, Erwin Casareno, and Sam Sharpe. But you will see from the above, that they have subsequently changed their status to " supporter " - this may be temporary only for Erwin.
