The Toronto International Open has attracted 110 players in 4 sections, being played at the Annex CC, and being organized by the Chess Institute of Canada. After 5 rds., with 2 more to go, Philippine’s GM Wesley So, 2650 FIDE, is leading with a 4.5/ 5 ( had a draw in Rd. 4 with Canadian IM Artiom Samsonkin; defeated former Canadian Champion, IM Nikolay Noritsyn ). There is a 4-way tie for second, at 3.5 pts.: Canadian Champion, GM Bator Sambuev and Canadian IM”s Noritsyn, Samsonkin, and junior Arthur Calugar.
