Default Motion 2012-T - Internet Game Rating - Potential Problem with Passed Motion

There may be a problem with the passed Motion 2012-T - Internet Game Rating

The problem seems to centre on an agreement between CFC and the Canadian Correspondence Chess Association some time ago, re the rating of internet games.

Put Forward by CFC Past President, Bob Gillanders; seconded: Michael Barron:

The results of this motion [ 2012-T ] should be set aside until your [ Valer Eugen Demain, CCCA Representative Governor ] concerns are addressed.

Proposal not dealt with by the Chair, CFC President Michael von Keitz, nor voted on by the Governors, since raised at the end of the meeting. Will likely be dealt with by the Executive at this point.

Default Spring Meeting - Significant Interest Shown

Thanks to all those CFC members and chess playing public who came to this forum during the meeting to keep up on the non-confidential part of the proceedings that could be reported. We have had over 750 " views " of this thread, and that has not happened re a topic since August 2011, and that was re the new CFC Website, which was a most popular topic at the time.

It is encouraging to know that members/public do care about what the governors are doing, to try to competently guide the CFC ship forward.

Summaries of the meeting will appear in due course in the next Governors' Letter.
