    Default Toronto Seniors Championship 2011

    Dear chess friends,

    On Tuesday, October 18 at the Willowdale Chess Club took place the first round of Toronto Seniors Championship 2011.

    The results are:

    Max Kornmann 1 - 0 William Zeck
    Jeff Pancer 1/2 - 1/2 Zdravko Barbarich
    Robert Armstrong 1 - 0 Evnato Frias
    Sai Vergara 1 - 0 Mickey Stein
    M. Hassan Pishdad 1 - 0 Alexander Hillel


    Round 2 will take place on Tuesday, October 25 , at 7pm at the Willowdale Chess Club.


    Round 2 Pairings:

    On Tuesday, October 25 at the Willowdale Chess Club took place the second round of Toronto Seniors Championship 2011.

    The results are:

    On Tuesday, November 1 at the Willowdale Chess Club took place the third round of Toronto Seniors Championship 2011.

    The results are:

    Good news:
    J. Ken MacDonald generously donated 10 chess books as prizes for Toronto Seniors Championship participants.

    On Tuesday, December 6 at the Willowdale Chess Club took place the eighth round of Toronto Seniors Championship 2011.

    The results are:

    Sai Vergara 1 - 0 M. Hassan Pishdad
    William Zeck 0 - 1 Zdravko Barbarich
    Jeff Pancer 0 - 1 Mickey Stein
    Robert Armstrong + - - Alexander Hillel

    The game
    Max Kornmann - Evnato Frias
    will be played later.


    Before last round we have the new Toronto Senior Champion:
    Sai Vergara won all his games - 8 out of 8!
    Congratulations!

    Mickey Stein and Robert Armstrong - both with 6.5 / 8 will fight for the second prize.
    All participants will get some prize - thanks to the generous donation by J. Ken MacDonald!


    Last Round will take place on Tuesday, December 13, at 7pm at the Willowdale Chess Club.

    Dear chess friends,

    On Tuesday, December 13 at the Willowdale Chess Club concluded Toronto Seniors Championship 2011.

    The results of final round are:

    M. Hassan Pishdad 1 - 0 William Zeck
    Zdravko Barbarich 1 - 0 Max Kornmann
    Evnato Frias 1 - 0 Jeff Pancer
    Mickey Stein 1/2 - 1/2 Robert Armstrong
    Alexander Hillel 0 - 1 Sai Vergara


    Congratulations to Sai Vergara - the new Toronto Senior Champion, who won all his games - 9 out of 9!

    Second place was shared by Mickey Stein and Robert Armstrong - both with 7 / 9.

    The Champion got GTCL trophy - a new chess clock.
    All participants got chess books as prizes - thanks to the generous donation by J. Ken MacDonald!
