The CCC Post ( Week of October 14 -20/11 ).

Q: CFC member enthusiasm for CFC activity, or that of any Canadian chess structure, seems very low. What does the Cooperative Chess Coalition ( CCC ) propose to do about this?

A: CCC agrees that CFC member support for and interest in CFC programs has been restrained, to put the best face on it. We feel this is because CFC seldom seeks out input from ordinary CFC members, and there is not the “ welcoming “ atmosphere which might lead members to be pro-active, and propose ideas to CFC. We are trying on one side to encourage CFC to consult members on issues, and, on the other side, to strengthen member rights in the CFC, so they will feel more “ ownership “ of CFC. Advances on both fronts will lead to greater member support for the CFC.
