The CFC Regular Chess Post – April 12/11

The 2011 Spring CFC Governors’ On-line Meeting will end shortly ( started Apr. 1 ). Attendance was 53% ( 32/60 governors ) – this has to be somewhat disappointing, given that there was 70% turnout at the 2010 Fall Meeting, and the 2011 Winter Meeting. Two motions eventually got voted on: Motion 2011-J – Opening Quarterly Meetings to the Public Post Meeting – defeated 48% to 44%; Motions 2011-M1 & M2 ( competing ) – Rules for Pan-AM YCC and NAYCC – both motions rejected. Also, the Youth Olympiad Coordinator was elected : former CFC Governor, Gary Gladstone ( who captained the 2010 team ).
