CFC Handbook Updating Subcommittee – Kerry Liles' Report

Since the 2011 Winter Meeting, all the 2011 Winter meeting Motions have been amended into the CFC Website Handbook.

At the moment, I am waiting for the finalization of the new website to make a decision on how to proceed with Handbook updating/presentation going forward. The tentative plan is to consolidate the Handbook into a single document and be able to "publish it" in a number of formats from the website: standard web pages on the website, a pdf file, a Microsoft Word document (for example) and pretty much any other reasonable output format. This would make conducting searches (for specific phrases for example) much more convenient.

To be able to access a pdf copy of the Handbook would be stellar! Hopefully this plan comes to fruition.

Technically this would be fairly simple - just copy and paste into a Word document and save it as PDF.

The $64000 question is making sure it stays current - 99% current doesn't work if the section you care about that day is the 1%!

Alternately the Handbook could be available ONLY as a PDF download and updated as needed (usually after a quarterly meeting or AGM) This would minimize the work for the sucker ^backspace ^backspace ^backspace ^backspace ^backspace ^backspace - er I mean eager volunteer in charge of maintaining it.
