Voting on motions takes place between 9:00 PM EDT on Monday, Oct. 4, and 6:00 PM on Thursday night, Oct. 7. Before voting, you may wish to review governor comments under the motion discussion agenda item.
Here is the motion:
From CFC By-Laws Article 21
Any Governor who is unable to be personally present at a meeting of the Assembly may appointany CFC Member to act as his proxy.
Proxies made out to "The Secretary" will be distributed to CFC Members, present at the meeting, who do not have a vote. Preference will be given to members of the same province as the proxy giver. Non-Governors may not receive more than one proxy by this method. Remaining proxies
of this type will not be used.
No person shall act as proxy for more than 10% of all possible votes. Any Governor receiving more than the maximum allowed must distribute the excess, first to any alternate designees by the proxy giver and then at his own discretion.

The statement will be:
Motion 2011-01 should be adopted.
The options will be : yes, no, abstain.
Note that the section being amended is under RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE CHESS FEDERATION OF CANADA. As such the amendment of this section is NOT a constitutional amendment, and therefore can be passed by a simple majoity.

To accomodate the governors in the West, Bob G has now authorized an extension of the close of voting from 6:00 Pm EDT to 11:00 PM EDT, on Thursday, Oct. 7.
