And now for something a little different ... combining playing chess, burning wood, and camping into an event that also allows for socializing with your fellow chess players:

Summary:

• An outdoor chess tournament at an Ontario Provincial Park.
• 1 day, 3 rounds, CFC-rated tournament
• Tournament: Tuesday, July 7, 2020. 9am, 1pm, 5pm.
• Silent Lake Provincial Park (INFO, MAP, PHOTOS)
• Camping: Nights of July 6 and 7. Your choice: both nights, one night, or neither night. Your responsibility: you must reserve your own accommodations.
• Group Campfires: Monday and Tuesday nights. Family & kid friendly. A chance to socialize with your fellow chess players.
• Park Activities: Hiking trails, swimming (beach), canoeing, fishing, stockfishing, or just hanging out.

You never know what'll work until you try it. I'll declare it a success even if it's just small but friendly group.
