7. Closing comments by Chair

I would like to thank all the voting members who took part in this meeting for their participation. We reported on the current state of the CFC which is healthier than it has been in a decade at least. We also discussed current issues including the incident with our player Alexander Kovalyov at the world cup. We discussed a number of issues including youth chess, possible increases in CFC membership fees (with differing opinions), youth chess with the likelihood that we will see a youth committee established once again. There were motions for voting.

The next meeting will likely be in February with the week of the 18th to 25th as the most likely dates.
