Zhu, Harmony – U 8 Girls – Going into Rd. 5, Harmony had a perfect score. In Rd. 5, she drew the top rated player in her section, Judit Juhasz of Hungary, rated 1710 FIDE, giving her 4.5/5 pts.. In Rd. 6, she had to play the #3 seed, Taisiya Tereshechkina, from Russia – she lost, and so after 6 rounds, had 4.5/6 pts.

Washimkar, Arhant – U 8 Open – After 3 rounds, had a perfect score. He then lost Rd. 4, drew Rd. 5, and won Rd. 6, to give him 4.5/6 pts..

Cao, Jason ( FM ) – U 12 Open – After 6 rounds, he had 4 wins and 2 losses, for 4/6 pts..
