GM Isan Reynaldo Ortiz Suárez (GM Isan Ortiz) was born 30 March 30th, 1985 in Guantánamo. He is a three-time Cuban Chess Champion. GM Isan Ortiz was the Cuban Chess Champion in 2013, 2014,[2] and 2015. In 2019 he tied for 4-5th.
GM Isan Ortiz current rating is 2555 but he was over 2600 in 2013-2015 and peaked at 2625.
Luis Manuel Perez got his grandmaster title in 2008. Best known in Cuba as one of the country's best blitz players. GM Perez is 2018 Cuban blitz champion.
