Roman Sapozhnikov, top ranked U 18, is the new 2011 Can. Jr. Champ., and will represent Canada at the World Junior in India. Jackie Peng, U 16 & U 14 Girls top ranked, is 2011 Can. Girls Champ. and will also go to India.

Alberta Closed – played April 22-24 – 6 player round robin – prize will help cover expenses of winner to Canadian Closed/Zonal – the winner was IM Eric Hansen undefeated in five rounds. Second at 4 pts. was IM Edward Porper, who’s only loss was to Eric.
