Armstrong Report of the Procedures' Committee
The Procedures’ Committee was initially struck by 2009-10 President Eric Van Dusen, who saw it as handling a number of pressing long-outstanding administrative items. I was appointed Chairperson of the Committee, and it was decided that from year to year, the current President was to be the other member. We decided initially that it was best that this committee function through a number of subcommittees who would have differing personnel and differing tasks. Three subcommittees were formed:
1. The Governors’ Voting Modernization Subcommittee – this subcommittee brought in its report in 2009-10, and has now been disbanded. The Procedures’ Committee got the new Quarterly Governors’ On-line Meeting Procedures passed at the Toronto July CFC AGM and the on-line meeting is now the key tool, along with the AGM, for governance.
2. The AGM Modernization Subcommittee – still active - see separate report.
3. The CFC Handbook Updating Subcommittee – Kerry Liles – still active - see separate report
For 2010-11, since Bob G has become the new CFC President, he replaced Eric Van Dusen as the other member of the Committee.
