Basic Sac Chess (10x10 board) rules (mine):

In Sac Chess, there's 6 new types of pcs besides std 6 types for chess:
Z = Amazon (moves like N or Q);
C = Chancellor (moves like N or R);
A = Archbishop (moves like N or B);
S = Sailor (moves like R or K);
M = Missionary (moves like B or K);
J = Judge (moves like N or K).

Castling may occur on the 2nd rank between the K and either R, with same conditions as in chess. Pawns act standardly too, only difference being that while they still promote on the last rank, any of new types of pcs may be selected, besides pc types allowed in chess. Stalemate is a draw.

Regarding just the solitaire game below, I played White moves normally (for Sac Chess), while I chose Black's moves by rolling a 6-sided die, after selecting what I thought were among Black's 6 (max) best moves. Recalling what they were, I didn't wrote them down on paper, but for space reasons I'm not including what the candidate moves were for any given Black choice. Also for space reasons I'm only giving a diagram for every 5 ply in my posted version of the game. I didn't use a chess clock, & I tried not to take very long over any move I made for either side.

I discovered colouring a position's 'pieces' within the 'low tech diagrams' after a game has started may take 10 minutes, if errors made, so I gave that up (in an email game between 2 players, say with 1 move/day, there'd be no rush to apply colouring). I later edited so as to colour in all of my 'diagrams' in this blog:

I felt that Black might consider prematurely resigning here in a game between two skillful players (a coin toss made Black resignation decision 'official'). To evade capture by the White judge on i4, the Black amazon on h6 needs to retreat, but then White soon wins the now hopelessly weak (but otherwise important) advanced Black pawn on f4.

Here's a link discussing my personal criteria for chess variants/(board games of skill), with added attention to what may make for computer-resistant games (Sac Chess may be ok for that):
