3rd game in...

I played my 3rd game tonight since un-retiring against Don Gareau, a strong Class B player. I'm relatively proud of this game as I was able to employ all the things I've been studying in the Silman book recently, achieving a dynamic advantage in terms of superior minor pieces, using that pressure to convert to a material advantage by winning one of his three loose pawns, and then trading down into a won endgame.

Even at the end, my bishop was superior to his since every single one of my pawns was on a dark square and we had light-squared bishops remaining.

Anyway, so far I'm performing around 1920 which I'm happy with. Not sure who I'll play next week but they'll be strong, anywhere from 1700 to 2050 or so. Study study study!

The almost-final position. White has just played Bg4-d1 which I believe loses fairly instantly to either Bc8-Kg5-Bg4 (which is how I continued) or even an immediate Kg5.
