Please note the RA Winter Open has been moved up a couple of weeks, to the weekend of January 22nd-24th. Given the recent relative success of the National Capital Open, the RA Winter Open will follow virtually the same format, including an early payment discount. With the date change, the early payment discount month is now December. Therefore, mailed payments with a postmark of December take advantage of the $15 early payment discount.

For players in Ottawa who would prefer to pay IN PERSON, please note that Thursday, December 17th, at the RA club, will be the only opportunity to take advantage of the early payment discount IN PERSON. I should be there all evening playing in the RA Active event. If you cannot make it to the RA club that evening, you can still take advantage of the early payment discount simply by mailing in your registration and payment like the players from out of town do.

For people who might be concerned about registering too early, in case their plans might change closer to the date of the tournament, please remember that you can always later decide not to play, and your registration fee can be applied to one of my future events (I run a weekender every 2 months or so).
