The information from Eric Hansen:

"The North American Youth Chess Championships will take place from October 1-5 in Mazatlan,Mexico (A really nice city!) . Anyone is allowed to go and it is the same format as CYCC (U8,U10,U12,U14,U16,U18 Girls & Open). The host committee will cover room and board for one official player in each section from each country.

I noticed in recent years Canada has pretty much ceased participation in the North American Youth and also the Pan American Youth Championships so it would be nice to see some kids go out to this one. You get good competition and the weather is superb, while also getting a free hotel room. First place in each section recieves either the CM (Candidate Master) or WCM (Woman's Candidate Master).

The process is similar to WYCC where you will have to go through the CFC first. And if anyone can translate the Spanish to English that would be quite helpful."
