What does 'stuff happens' mean?

Google's stock answer:
"The phrase is an acknowledgment that bad things happen to people for no particular reason. Phrases with similar meaning are such as "stuff happens" or "it happens" and are considered minced oath forms. ... Stuff happens." The origin or earliest use of the phrase is uncertain."

Canadian example, perhaps, IMHO (cbc, 17 Dec 2019):

Hmmm... Lifelabs is a service I use. Not good.

CFC seems to be under some sustained efforts to scam money though none of the executive are dumb enough to fall for the various ruses. Its not like we're Democrats who don't know a phishing scam when presented with one.
