Chris,
As I understand it, this 'council' is being struck as a requirement from FIDE.

Do you have the official information on the requirements as FIDE sees it?

I know you spoke about what 'we' want to do with this council, but lets start with the basics: What do we absolutely NEED to do to fullfill obligations to FIDE or to enable our participation in FIDE 'things'.

I can't seem to find the info on the FIDE site about it. Maybe they changed their mind?

I really don't like the way FIDE organizes stuff on their site either.

Anyway at this point we'll go with no official requirements from FIDE... unless and until we hear otherwise.

I'm not aware of the FIDE requirements - I thought this was our own thing. FIDE is getting tougher on tournaments - no norms without an FA or IA running the show.
