3 items to report and remind.

1.
Aurora Seniors Centre allows no a general public (i.e., no age limits) to participate in their chess activities.

D12-03-05 Town’s Proposal re. Intergeneration Chess Program: As a follow-up to the Aug.20th decision requesting details on the Proposed Intergenerational Chess Program, and at Al Downey’s Suggestion, Brian Warburton gave a verbal outline of his Proposal to the Town whereby the current chess activity at the Seniors Centre could be expanded to include Aurora residents of any age.

That Aurora Seniors Association create a SPECIAL CHESS CLUB MEMBERSHIP which would apply for the Intergenerational Chess Activity at the Aurora Seniors Centre, valid Tuesdays from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. – and would be available to Chess players of all ages at a fee of $20.00 annually,
in keeping with the ASA membership year – Jan. 1 – Dec. 31.

The library will host chess meetings this Thursday (6-9 pm, October 4) and the next Saturday (1-4 pm, October 13). Free

Last but not least and most excited for us who worked hard :D

The Aurora Chess Club secured a space to meet regularly (every week on Mondays, except holidays). The first meeting is scheduled for November 5 from 6:00 pm till 10:30 pm at Aurora High School (155 Wellington Street West, Aurora, Ontario, L4G 2P4) Dress nicely as we expect television cameras.
