The CFC Regular Chess Post – July 8/11 – 2011 Pinnacle Can. Open.
Starts Tomorrow! - This 9 round, 1 rd./day, swiss [ one big open section, + 2 class sections ( U 2000 & U 1600 ) ], the biggest tournament annually, will be in Toronto from July 9 – 17. As of July 7: Registrations: 253 ( passed the 250 mark! Last year in Toronto was slightly higher - 265 );. Titled Players: 12 GM’s from USA, Cuba, Georgia, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Israel, including 2 Canadian – Bluvshtein, Sambuev, , 11 IM’s, 12 FM’s. For the women, we have 1 WGM, 3 WIM’s, 3 WCM’s. Lots of prizes, and many side events ( e.g. simuls ). At the Harbour Castle Hilton, downtown on the waterfront. Come and watch!
