Re : Simultaneous Exhibition

The Manila chess club (Scarborough ON Chapter) is hosting a chess exhibition simul by GM Wesley So this coming Saturday March 19, 2011 from 14:00.

The event will be hosted by a member of the Manila Chess Club at his residence. Entry fee for the simul is $ 25. This includes some refreshments like pancit and soft drinks.

To register, contact Erwin Casareno at CASARENO.ERWIN@gmail.com. Or call at 416-9180528. Password is Wesley So Simul.

Bring your chess pieces and clocks. Seats are limited due to space constraint.

Everyone is invited to this event. Register early. Only 26 hours before the games start.

Just spoken to Wesley's mom and she confirms it. Now need to finalize logistical plans with host GM (General Manager) Andrew Picana and IM (I am a boy) Manny Balboa. We will also discuss if we are going to serve the famous Gillander soup.......

We accept only cash on site.

--------------------------

After the simul, we are planning to stage a blitz tournament - $5 registration fee. All registration fees returned as prizes.

The organizers of the upcoming Hamilton Winter Open also invited Wesley to play in their weekend tournament March 25&26 - Wesley has graciously accepted. Canada's highest CFC-rated GM, Bator Sambuev, will also be playing. This tournament is turning out to be well worth the price of admission - we hope the organizers get a large turnout. And we encourage players to visit the tournament - especially, as is expected, for the round when Wesley and Bator square off.

CFC is pleased to have Wesley visit Canada, and to play some chess here. It is a boost to chess promotion in Canada!
